The Department of Statistics and Data Science welcomes two new faculty members.

The Department of Statistics and Data Science is pleased to announce that two new faculty members have joined the department.

Zhuoran Yang is an Assistant Professor of Statistics and Data Science. His research interests lie in the interface between machine learning, statistics, and optimization. Before joining Yale University, Zhuoran worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Berkeley. He is the recipient of the VMware Research Fellowship from Simons Institute in 2020 and the Tencent Ph.D. fellowship in 2018.

Robert Wooster is a Lecturer of Statistics and Data Science. His areas of interest are probability and stochastic processes. Before joining Yale University, Robert worked as a Visiting Professor at Central Connecticut State University, Assistant Professor at college of Wooster, and Assistant Professor at the United States Military Academy. He is the recipient of the Louis J. DeLuca Memorial Award for Outstanding Teaching Assistant in 2005.
